Anniversary

I can not believe that a year ago tonight... we had just left from our Rehearsal dinner in Lincolnton. I went to hang out with Adam for a few minutes before the craziness of our Wedding Day. I had been sick and I remember praying with him and asking God to heal me for my Wedding Day. The wedding day had been a long time coming and I had been dreaming of that day forever and being sick was not on my list of things for my wedding. So I left and was in the bed  early anxiously waiting for the next morning where I would walk down the aisle to my soon to be husband!!!!

So now on the night of our 1ST ANNIVERSARY... TAKE A WALK DOWN MEMORY LANE FROM A YEAR AGO WITH ME... ON THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE... BECOMING MRS. ADAM WHITENER!!!
On the night of our rehearsal dinner, they had a music night on the square in Lincolnton and Adam's mom asked the band to dedicate a song to Adam and I... and we got called up to the front of the stage!!!!!

Worshipping with the Angels

Over the last week, our church family has lost two very faithful members and then today we lost a former staff member.

Mr. Ed Biernacki passed away last friday evening while sitting in his recliner at home. Mr. Ed had a special place in so many peoples' hearts. He had just turned 91 years old. He was a WWII survivor and boy could he tell you stories about it. He loved to take pictures and he would email everyone with them. He was always at church events with a smile on his face and always greeted me with a hug. He loved the Lord and made such an impact on many people. Mr. Ed will surely be missed but now he is worshipping with the angels!

Mr. Ed Moorehead passed away Sunday morning. I have known Ed for a long time. His daughter was one of my SS teachers when I was a little girl. He also served our country in the Air Force! He was always very faithful to attend church until his health started to decline. Now he is also worshipping with the angels!

Brother Gerald Reeves went to be with the Lord this morning. Brother Gerald was the Associate Pastor at WBC for awhile and  I was able to work for him for about 2 years I believe. He cared for and loved everyone that he came in contact with. He had impacted so many lives as a missionary, pastor, teacher, father, husband, grandfather and friend. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to have been able to know Brother Gerald. I know that he will be missed! But now he is worshipping with the angels and I am sure he is loving on his granddaughter, Faith, as well!!

It is sad that all of these men have left this earth, but I know that I will see them again because many years ago I placed my faith in Jesus Christ and will see them again in Heaven.

If you have never asked Jesus into your heart... what better time than the Easter season!!!! If you would like to know how or have any questions...send me a message!!!
